I have no idea why I like Avril’s cover, but I do. To be honest, it shames the original and you can tell that Sarah is far superior and sings it much better live. Perhaps it’s Avril’s honest simplicity? I don’t know. Usually I find Avril to be quite annoying, but I like this cover. Someone explain this to me, please.

Everyone is entitled to give tribute to whatever songs they love, but the only good singer in this video is the backup singer. Avril needs to smooth out her held notes.
