Last night, the NAACP presented its 41st Annual Image Awards honoring people of color working in literature, music, television and film. Gabourey Sidibe, Glee’s Amber Riley, Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz, Taraji P. Henson, Keri Hilson, Nick Cannon, and former Cosby Show actresses Raven-Symone and Keshia Knight Pulliam were among the stars on the red carpet.

The biggest winner of the night was Precious, which won six awards including Outstanding Motion Picture, Outstanding Independent Motion Picture and Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress awards for Gabourey Sidibe and Mo’Nique, respectively. Tyler Perry’s House of Payne and Grey’s Anatomy were also both big winners in TV. See a full list of winners here.

Last night we ran into blogger and man-about-town Micah Jesse, and our eyes went immediately to the shiny things on his fingertips. Micah explained that he’d been Minx’ed: the latest nail art craze sweeping the nation.

What is Minx you ask? It’s like a sticker-like appliqué a manicurist places on your nails and then heats. The finish is unique and gorgeous, and Micah told us you take it off with nail polish remover as you would any manicure. As a bonus, Micah even had his applied by Beyonce’s manicurist Lisa Logan. We are so jealous.

If the rumors are to be believed, a feud between Ellen Degeneres and Simon Cowell is heating up on American Idol. According to TMZ, Ellen thinks Simon is unnecessarily cruel to contestants, and Simon likes to antagonize Ellen by being cruel to them. Ah, your typical sibling relationship.

So, are they really feuding? An Idol rep didn’t return our call for comment, but we can understand why Simon and Ellen wouldn’t get along. And you know what? We’re going to have to side with Simon on this one. Like the song goes, you’ve got to be cruel to be kind, Ellen. While she seemed promising during her Hollywood week debut, Ellen’s played it safe since then. Even kind of boring, actually. And we don’t think Simon’s down with that. (Say what you will about Paula, but those are two things she never was.)

Another theory floating around Crushable headquarters is that perhaps Simon isn’t liking the fact that Ellen’s more famous than he is. Idol has always been his show, and suddenly he’s not the star anymore. Diva alert! Maybe that’s why he’s headed off to X-Factor (and taking Paula with him?).

Bachelor host Chris Harrison feels really sorry for disgraced contestant Rozlyn Papa — he hopes she rises above and becomes a “better person.”

Why? Because she allegedly — OK, most likely — had physical relations with a male producer behind Jake Pavelka’s back, then lied about it. Rozlyn left the show bathed in scandal, the producer got canned and Jake went back to handing out roses to his 20 other prospects.

Rozlyn denied the affair on last night’s Women Tell All special — Chris led the inquisition, the other ladies pounced (“I saw you making out on the stoop!!”) and Rozlyn — digging herself deeper into a hole — uttered this blasphemous statement: “On my child’s life, that never happened.”

Damn, Roz. That was a low blow. We can’t even.

Then she accused Chris of hitting on the axed producer’s wife in New Zealand (ha), and he fired back on his EW.com blog:

It was a desperate attempt by a very desperate woman to create a diversion and deflect the spotlight from herself as she had done several times throughout the interview when she felt backed into a corner by the overwhelming truth. I was extremely disappointed that Rozlyn would stoop to that level and bring my family and me into this already sad and unfortunate situation. Beyond the fact that it’s just flat out not true, that comment was well beyond the line of decency and speaks volumes to the kind of person Rozlyn is. My wife, who I’ve been with since I was 18 and have been married to for over 16 years, was in the audience that night and got as big a laugh out of Rozlyn’s comment as I did.

We get where Chris is coming from — Rozlyn WAS out of line — but his patronizing tone does not sit well with us. Namely because the show needs troublemakers like Rozlyn to build buzz and get people talking, so while she should come clean about seducing the producer, publicly attacking her bad morals — and hoping she becomes a better person through all of this — flies directly in the face of what this successful show is all about: cheesy Vegas production values, tacky and desperado contestants putting their dignity on the line to get the guy (and sometimes bending the truth in the process).

Don’t feel sorry for Rozlyn, Chris. And don’t pretend The Bachelor is the Most Moral Show In Reality-Television History.
