We Answer The Crushable Questionnaire

Here at Crushable, we like to ask (and answer) questions. So we created a questionnaire for us and for anyone else who will let us ask them a few questions. Editors extraordinaire Erin and Amanda already shared theirs with you, so I’m next.

1. What’s your backstory?
Proud South Jerseyan (It’s totally different from North Jersey, you guys), went to college in Boston, transplanted to Brooklyn. After two years of freelancing for entertainment magazines and websites, I’m happy to have landed at Crushable (and scored some health insurance along the way).

2. Everyone has a “thing.” What’s yours?
Banana bread, winning pub trivia, and Degrassi

3. Everyone also has a karaoke song. Name yours (and don’t be shy).
“Brass in Pocket” by The Pretenders. I stole it from my friend Mikela, but she lives in LA now so she won’t even know.

4. Who are your biggest influences?
This might be cheesy (So what? Who cares?), but my parents have been great role models my entire life.

5. What is it you most dislike?
Olives

6. Whose job would you like to steal?
Alex Trebek

7. What was your best date?
Summer night + outdoor concert + snuck-in wine + long walk home.

8. What was your worst?
Let’s just say it ended with someone (not me) vomming. Not a pretty sight.

9. When I wake up in the middle of the night its because I’ve had a nightmare that I’m ___ .
Driving up a completely vertical hill with my childhood next-door neighbor. No seriously, it’s been recurring since I was, like, 10. It’s a weird dream.

10. I feel my best when I’m wearing ___ .
My favorite gaudy earrings.

11. Please settle the debate: New York or LA?
I’m siding with Biggie. East Coast all the way.

12. What’s on your playlist at this very moment?
“No Hassle” by Robyn and Diplo, the new Vampire Weekend, Florence and the Machine

13. What are you watching on TV?
You’d be horrified if I listed all of them, but my faves are Friday Night Lights, Glee, How I Met Your Mother, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Modern Family, Cougar Town, Chuck, Life Unexpected, The Vampire Diaries, The Amazing Race, Teen Mom, The Good Wife, Gossip Girl, 90210, Melrose Place (still, I know), Greek, Make It or Break It, Being Erica, Project Runway, 30 Rock, The Office. Not Lost. (For the record, I do, in fact, have a life, and I do not watch most of these on the night or even week they air.)

14. If you alone held the power to pick the Oscar for Best Picture, would you give it to Avatar or The Hurt Locker?
The Hurt Locker – a haunting, beautifully made movie that’ll stand the test of time. Plus it won’t look crappy on your regular-def, non-3D, 20-inch television.

15. Given the chance, would you rather hang out with George Clooney or Robert Downey Jr.?
Clooney. I love me a silver fox.

16. If you were a character on any movie or TV show, past or present, who would you be?
Veronica Mars — beautiful, brainy, clever, and oh so sneaky.

17. What is your drug of choice?
Diet Coke every day, $4 beer/whiskey shot combos on the weekends (and ibuprofen the following day).

18. What’s the last thing you think about before falling asleep at night?
How tired would I be tomorrow if I watched just one more episode of The Office on Netflix Watch Instantly?
