Have you ever thought to yourself ‘I wish I could get paid to blog‘.  Well, if you’re the biggest Avril Lavigne fan and love blogging (or writing in general) then this is your chance. Avril Groupie is looking for a new blogger to take over and make this site rock! You must be 18 or older to apply.

Take it from me, a fellow blogger, this is for sure one of the coolest jobs you can have. The hours are flexible and you can work from home, the library, or that coffee shop you’re always chilling at. You get to connect with fellow Avril fans and stay up-to-date with what’s going on in her life.

And hey, guess what if you play your cards right you may get a chance to meet her. When you’re the media doors open! I got to meet her in the summer time and I got some great photos from the event!

Wow this video takes me back to when I was still a teenager and since Avril Lavigne and I are the same age that means around 17.  This is a video that is about Avril in New York City I assume around 2001 just after Let Go was released. It’s the Avril we all remember, a little crazy, speaks her mind, and that skater tomboy look she always sported. It’s definitely a far cry from what she’s become.

At the same time there are still elements that are always Avril. The fact that she’s all about being herself and if you don’t like that then #$%^ you!  I have to admit I miss her charisma and her party attitude. Now she seems so calm all the time and it’s just not the same. I understand that it’s because her publicist is probably saying ‘don’t swear or give the finger to the paparazzi anymore’. Which is probably smart because the tabloids would eat it up.

Anyways, have a great weekend everyone!

We all remember when Avril Lavigne performed with Alanis Morissette and for those of us who were addicted to Jagged Little Pill probably got chills when the two sang ‘Ironic’. I was about 11 when I started listening to Alanis religiously and since Avril is the same age as me I can imagine she was the same age. So when she had the opportunity to perform with not only one of her music idols but a fellow Canadian I’m sure she jumped at the chance.
