“Personal Avril Info” is definitely leading the recent poll on the content you most want to see here on AvrilGroupie.com. In honoring that, I bring you some information on Avril’s love life.

As most of you know, Avril filed for divorce from her husband Deryck Whibley in mid-October after previously announcing their separation on her official MySpace page on September 17, 2009. She then stated, “Deryck and I have been together for 6 and a half years. We have been friends since I was 17, started dating when I was 19, and married when I was 21. I am grateful for our time together, and I am grateful and blessed for our remaining friendship. I admire Deryck and have a great amount of respect for him. He is the most amazing person I know and I love him with all my heart. Deryck and I are separating and moving forward on a positive note. Thank you to all my family, friends and fans for all your support. ”

Fans immediately lent their support. Most of them expressed how they wished happiness for the star, and even more observed how it was admirable for Avril and her husband to take the high road. Instead of bashing one another or airing their dirty laundry like all too many celebrity couples, they expressed love even in the face of separation.

Although there were those in the media who expressed contempt (Perez Hilton is not quite fair to her, as he expressed a dislike for her early in her career), many in Hollywood also expressed their support for Avril Lavigne as she builds a new life as she faces the upcoming divorce from Deryck Whibley. A source told “Us Weekly” that Avril forced her then-husband out of their $9.5 million, 12,00-square-foot estate in L.A.’s Bel Air. Although gossips and “sources” may be willing to sling dirt, Avril has taken the high road ever since her announcement.

In the aftermath of the separation (and even before), rumors swirled that Avril was seeing oil heir Brandon Davis. “In Touch” reported in November that they were house hunting together, in fact. Their alleged romance was widely reported, but both Avril and Brandon firmly deny it.

Avril was seen partying with Wilmer Valderrama in mid-November at the club Wonderland, but there has been no confirmation that they are seeing one another.

Whether she decides to keep her heart open or seek new love, Avril Lavigne is set to be a single woman in early 2010.

It seems since Avril Lavigne’s divorce from Deryck Whibley that she has been completely out of the lime light. Other Avril Lavigne sites are grabbing at straws for content (including Avril Groupie) because there really isn’t much going on. With that said I totally get it. Wouldn’t you go into hiding after a divorce and especially after your ex begins to publicly flaunt his new fling with  model/actress Hanna Beth Merjos?

In reality we don’t know what’s going on with her and I can only make assumptions. Who knows maybe Avril is totally down with Deryck’s new relationship. After all wouldn’t you want to move on after a divorce?

I have a great video for all the Avril Groupies out there, it’s funny and it’s just a reminder how Avril Lavigne’s sense of humor.

I was surprised to hear that Avril Lavigne signed over her multi-million dollar L.A. mansion to ex-husband Deryck Whibley. I guess it was nice of her. I wonder where she’s planning to live next? If I was her I would couch surf with friends until her new album is done. Then I would move to New York City!!!!

L.A. is cool and all and I get that being a Canadian girl Avril is probably loving the warm weather. However, New York has way more to offer and suits her style a bit more. She did after all debut her first fashion show in New York not L.A., which clearly reflects the city of angles as less fashion forward.

There are so many great things to do in New York and the dudes are way hotter! Just look at the above pictures….she fits right in!

Deryck Whibley was spotted at Tattoo Mania looking ultra-cozy with his rebound baby, Hanna Beth Merjos, aspiring model-actress.  He looked totally hungover and sent the little miss out for water three times! I guess she makes a better fetch it girl than Avril did. I mean, seriously, can you imagine him sending her out on errands?

I watched the video of them together at the shop, and I would have included it, except that it was gratuitously long and totally icky. All PDA and no class at all. Way to move down, Deryck, er, I mean on.
