Video: How The Dumbest Cat Drinks

This is my cat Baby. She is cute. So cute you can maybe overlook the fact that she is as dumb as a cat nip chew toy.

To illustrate my point, here is a video of Baby drinking water. Instead of lapping it up from her bowl as most animals do, she daintily dips her paw in her bowl, then licks the water off of it. Not only is this a totally ineffective way of drinking, it also contaminates her water bowl with dirt, sand and anything else she’s been walking around in (think litterbox). We have to wash it out frequently. Cats, who lick their own butts, generally don’t care about sanitary issues, but this is just ridiculous. (Also, just so you know, she is named after Baby from Dirty Dancing.)
